SafeTravels is an Australian based mobile app service for the travel industry. The original concept for SafeTravels was created after Founder, Chris Reed, experienced several travel incidents during his extensive travels and believed there must be a better way for travellers to provide fast and secure access to their important travel and emergency medical information with other travellers. As part of the process of developing SafeTravels Chris spoke to several contacts who work in the travel industry for various tour and travel companies. It became evident that Travel Companies have been slow to adopt to using mobile and smartphone technology to enhance their trip experience. This is now of particular importance as smartphones have become an essential travel tool for travellers and provides an excellent platform for travel companies to promote their products, build brand loyalty and enhance their service offering. SafeTravels has been developed to offer Tour and Travel Companies with a cost effective, fully supported managed service that allows them to provide their customers with a mobile app when they join their trips.
